FlexBike coming to DC?

The Examiner reported on Tuesday that a Clear Channel Subsidiary will provide 800 bus shelters in the District and pay the city $153 million over 20 years, all in exchange for advertising space on the shelters. Tucked away in the article is this

The company also has agreed to provide bus maps, real-time bus arrival information and a computerized bicycle rental program.

There's no word on when the bicycle rental program would start or what form it would take. Though is sounds like it will probably not be like Portland's Yellow Bike program, which failed for lack of money, or Amsterdam's White Bikes, which failed because they were all stolen. It is more likely to resemble the VĂ©lo'v Grand Lyon in Lyon, France which works a lot like Flexcar.
